TAT Marine/Jet Ski (PWC) Training
Course Aims & Objectives
The Marine Licence Training & PWC Endorsement Allows you to obtain your marine license to drive on Victorian Waters and regulate the Victorian water rules.
Entry Requirements & Prerequisites
Students can apply if they are aged 12 years and upward for the Marine Licence Training only. Students can apply if they are aged 16 years and upward for the Marine Licence & Personal Watercraft Endorsement (PWC) Training.
You will be required to complete an “Application for Enrolment” form which can be obtained from the reception or website. You will be placed depending on the vacancy.
Resources & Facilities
Applicants will be provided with the required Recreational Boating Safety Handbook and stationary equipment. Classes will be conducted from our approved MSV A-grade training rooms and delivered in a professional learning environment. The training will be taught using boating equipment and further explained how to and when to use them with additional video resources.
Completion Requirements
To achieve the certificate qualification the student must demonstrate competency in the multiple-choice questions.
The units of competence for completion are as follows:
- Safe Boating
- Safe Operations
- Emergency Procedures
- Licensing & Registration
- Personal Watercraft Endorsement
Assessment and Duration
To obtain a passing grade for the marine licence test, the applicant must correctly answer 26 out of 30 questions. To obtain a passing grade for the PWC endorsement test the applicant must correctly answer 13 out of 15 questions. Course Duration is 4 hours face to face delivery.
Articulation & Pathways
Students completing this program will have met the requirements for the use of sail boats, motorized boats, and/ or PWC (Jet Ski) on Victorian waters.
How much will the course cost for Government Funded eligible students?
The Marine Licence Training including PWC Endorsement will cost $130.00.
Marine Licence training only will cost $100.00.
All cancellation requests made prior to the course commencement date will incur a $80.00 administration and enrolment fee. Once courses have commenced, the organisation will not approve refunds or transfers under any circumstances.
Technical Advanced Training reserves the rights to cancel or postpone the course commencement date with low enrolment numbers up to two days prior to the course commencement date. Should a course be cancelled or postponed, you will be notified either by mail, telephone, or email. Cancellation of a program by Technical Advanced Training will result in a full refund.
