PRS20103    -    Certificate II in Security Operations

General Overview

 

To qualify for the above program students must hold a current Security license and/or completed the PRS20103 - Certificate II in Security Operations. 

 

The aim of the Certificate II in Security Operations (Monitoring Centre Operator) program is to develop a student's understanding in providing operational security services in the context of high risk asset protection such as monitoring electronic report facility, monitoring security from control room and providing quality customer service.

 

Upon completion of the Certificate II in Security Operations (Monitoring Centre Operator) students will gain competency in the following units:

 

  • PRSS0201A Communicate effectively in the security industry
  • PRSS0202A Maintain workplace safety
  • PRSS0203A Work effectively in the security industry
  • PRSS0204A Work as part of a team
  • PRSS0205A Provide security services to customers
  • PRSS0206A Provide first aid
  • PRSS0207A Respond to security risk situation
  • PRSS0215A Operate basic security equipment
  • PRSS0223A Monitor electronic report facility
  • PRSS0325A Monitor security from control room
  • ICTCC130A   Provide quality customer service (comprehensive)
  • TDTE710A    Use Communication systems

What employment opportunities will students have?

The Certificate II in Security Operations (Monitoring Centre Operator) allows the Security Officer to provide their enhanced skills and knowledge necessary to a larger capacity of security operations that consist of a Control Room.

 

Duration of Course and Starting Dates

This course is delivered in a flexible learning approach incorporating 2 days direct delivery at the Broadmeadows Office with additional workplace based tasks and workbooks to be completed in your own time.

Cost

Full Payment $280.00. Minimum deposit of $150.00 is required prior to course commencement and balance due on the day of course commencement date.
