PRS20103 Certificate II in Security Operations

                   Bridging Program for Unarmed Guard Licensing

 

General Overview

To qualify for the bridging program students must hold a current crowd controllers license and currently working in the Security Industry. The program is designed as an acceleration course to upgrade your existing qualification to the new (PRS20103 - Certificate II in Security Operations) course from the  PRS03 training package.  This is a quick and cost effective way of upgrading your current level II training in Crowd Control and Security Guarding.

 

Applicant's currently working in the industry would may be required to complete an RPL application form, supply evidence of previous training and work experience for each unit in PRS20103. Therefore the applicant would have to attend and undergo the following criteria's over two working days:

  • Attend one day practical first aid training
  • Attend a one day Cert II in Security Operations (PRS20103) bridging program including R.S.A
  • Workbook / Assessment

Duration of Course and Starting Dates

You will be required to complete the bridging program in two days. This will consist of a two day attendance at the training organisation. Some additional tasks will be completed at your own time. Please ring the institute for further information on starting dates.

 

 

The following units will be covered:

  • PRSS0201A - Communicate effectively in the security industry
  • PRSS0202A - Maintain workplace safety
  • PRSS0203A - Work effectively in the security industry
  • PRSS0204A - Work as part of a team
  • PRSS0205A - Provide security service to customers
  • PRSS0206A - Provide first aid
  • PRSS0207A - Respond to security risk situation
  • PRSS0210A - Control access to and exit from premises
  • PRSS0215A - Operate basic security equipment
  • PRSS0216A - Patrol premises
  • TDTE701A - Use communication systems

 

Cost

Full Payment $280.00. Minimum deposit of $100.00 is required.

If applicant's demonstrate partial competence in the R.P.L process, pro-rata rates will apply. Therefore applicant must seek to complete outstanding subjects through course attendance and/or distance learning.
