PRS30103 - Certificate III in Security Operations (Bodyguard)
General Overview
To qualify for the above program students must hold a current crowd controllers license and/or completed the PRS20103 - Certificate II in Security Operations.
Therefore, it is a condition of licensing that Licensing Service Division (LSD) - Victoria Police, require the following units below to be completed as a Bodyguard. The required units are:
- PRSS0301A Prepare and present security documentation and reports
- PRSS0302A Maintain a safe workplace and environment
- PRSS0303A Determine a response to a security risk situation
- PRSS0305A Manage conflict through negotiation
- PRSS0306A Maintain effective workplace relationships
- PRSS0307A Maintain own work performance and development
- PRSS0308A Coordinate a quality security service to customers
- PRSS0309A Maintain security of environment
- PRSS0316A Control persons using empty hand techniques
- PRSS0320A Plan and conduct evacuation of premises
- PRSS0321A Provide safety for persons at risk
- PRSS0323A Lead small teams
- PRSS0206A Providing First Aid
- PRSS0222A Protect self and others using basic defensive techniques
- BSBFLM302A Support leadership in the workplace
The aim of this course is to provide security officers a better understanding in security services by providing protection to persons, knowing how to provide evidence in court, preparing and presenting security documentation and reports and finally demonstrating support leadership in the workplace.

The Certificate III in Security Operations (Bodyguard) allows the Bodyguard to provide their enhanced skills and knowledge necessary to a larger capacity of security operations such as:

Duration of Course and Starting Dates
You will be required to complete the program in five days. If you have currently completed the Certificate III in Security Operations (Crowd Control), duration of Body Guarding course is then two days. Please ring the institute for further information on starting dates.

$520.00 - Minimum deposit of $150.00 is required.
$330.00 - If applicant has completed Certificate III in Security Operations - Crowd Control Units
